Techs and nurses working in other Fresenius Clinics.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
If Fresenius is concerned about patients health then why is their nurses and techs allowed to work in other clinics? These staff members are working in New Orleans and other high risk areas for extra pay but what about the patients who are been exposed to these workers that may be exposed to someone with the virus? In my opinion the company is not protecting patients but adding more stress. Who if anyone or checking staff every morning like they are doing patients or is Fresenius workers immune to the virus? Law suit waiting to happen if a worker expose a patient. FRESENIUS WILL IGNORE THIS MESSAGE BECAUSE IT'S NOT IN THEIR BEST INTEREST.

Ridiculous mandatory mask policy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Since about a week ago the clinic said all patients must wear a mask for the up to 5 hrs of treatment, i guess the bigwigs in charge of everything and are knowledgeable about nothing feel we all need to wear this ineffective mask according to the CDC and SurgeonGeneral, is there serious repercussions for not wearing the ineffective mask? Why make life that much more miserable for folks who have there plates full already? Is it legally related i wonder because if these masks make it hard to breath more so than without mask and it causes blisters behind your ears and irritation on the face for those with sensitive skin issues i think the clinic is asking to be sued and rightfully so, i have considered home dialysis seriously but have many health issues and need a nurse when on treatment, please reverse this ignorant ineffective policy it is 100% unnecessary unless you have a cold and sit less than 7 ft from the next patient, we have overblown the normal reaction to this virus which has killed less than vets who commit suicide or the commen flu.

Guess you know more than all healthcare professionals huh??? Guess what??

YOURE sick and they’re NOT!

So do as your told or get off dialysis! Masks are mandated for ALL healthcare professionals through the CDC & whats even more, are more than likely mandated through your county and municipal areas.

Fauuci stated this flu is not serious check into that also the staff wears there masks n-95 or ? Already the patience should not be forced to wear this cloth cover it is akin to throwing sand through a chain link fence trying to stop micro organisms also this is a FAKE CRISIS developed by the folks who said iraq had weapons of mass destruction and the twin towers imploded due to jet fuel, sorry i took biology in school your going to have to do better than this to *** me.

Just because a dialysis person is sick does not mean they are carrying rhe virus everybody is susceptible to this virus. Ypur attitude stinks...whoever you are.

Just because our kidneys has failed does not give you all the privilege to speak to us like we are retarded or children and tell us to do as we are told. Wr still have thinking brains...only our kidneys are inoperable.

Unprofessional Staff

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Clinic have you come to treatment 30 minutes EARLY to sit in the lobby until it is time for your treatment and 9 out of 10 times when you go to get your treatment you have to wait until they gather the equipment. Techs put you on the machine in a hurry so they can gather in groups to talk or shop on the company computer.

There is no mointoring of the patients and their attitudes are beyond awful. Some of the nurses are just as bad and have no emphaty for the patients. This entire clinic is breaking several Medicare laws but because of their lack of knowledge they nor management is aware of this. They are rude and disrespectful to some of the patients and get very frustrated when a patients machine keep alarming.

Techs will put you on the machine and only check on you if another patient tells them to check on whom ever unless it is time to pull over vitals signs. The worst part about the whole sistuation is because they are buddies there is no one to complaint too without consequences.

Amen to that. From my experience, don't bother complaining to the social worker or the clinical manager.

They'll bully you into saying that YOU are the problem. And that the techs and nurses on the floor are busy with other patients. One thing is that on the policy statement that you sign when you first get initialized for dialysis that you are supposed to monitor the changes in your blood pressure and tell them if you feel dizzy, ill or nauseous. My experience is if you complain about your blood pressure, the nurses and techs will say it aloud, "Oh that person is such drama-rama.

Blood pressure this and blood pressure that all the f'n time. For Christ's sake, can't that person shut up and let us do our job." Then you get the smart *** LPNs or LVNs who sound like a horse making gossip with the other employees how s/he hates certain patients and REFUSES TO DO HER JOB. Yeah, you know who you are....You LPN that sounds like MR.

ED every morning. Shame on you!

Having to wait 30 days to receive MY medical records.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When I asked for too get a copy of MY medical records the manager said that would take up thousands of pages of paper. So I asked what if I just give you the dates? The next treatment day she gives me a form to fill out that said I will have to wait 30 days to get the report and only if Fresenius agree to me receiving it. She also informed me about the fee which I understood. My problem is if I need my records NOW and Medicare laws states that I can get a copy of MY records in a timely frame period why do I have to wait 30 days? What I need is MY records now not 30 damn days later. Really pissed, can someone correct me if I am reading the wrong version of Medicare laws. Thankd

Nurses unsympathetic to patients

1. the temperature in the center is very cold. No patient should be sitting in the chair for hours while the air conditioner is blowing over our heads. Some of the patients suffers with arthritis. We have complained numerous times and its like complaining to a wall. Its not to be comfortable for the patients only for the staff. We shouldn't have to sit in a chair with several blankets and hats on our heads. Its not right. No one cares about us (patients). 2. We haven't had a dietician in our center for months. 3. Our social worker is clueless to her duties. 4. The clinical manager hardly comes to work so we are unaware when she reports to work.

I feel your pain. After reading so many comments on this site and on other sites, this seems the norm with Fresenius: Clueless people, careless employees...never understanding how the patients feel or how they are doing. Sometimes I wonder if perhaps state governments need to investigate how many violations this company is engaging in and why they are still operating, even if people are being abandoned.

Extremely disappointed

So we have a new manager which no one told us we just found out when the doctor was doing her rounds she is so unprofessional and selfish she has no heart for the black patients she will pass the patients in the lobby and only speak to the caucasians on more than one occassion. Now she changed patients chair time did not let the patients know about it one lady that was on the 6am shift she kept coming her regular time for weeks only to hear that it wasnt het chair time she gave ut to a new caucasian man i came to the clinic and saw her and i've been there 3yrs she now locks up the hear buds in her office we use to listen to the tv she doesnt come in every day so if she's not at the clinic and you need hear buds you have to do without she locks up gauze bandaid i mean we are charged for these stuff oh fresinus policy is that no famiky members she work together or be in the same facility with a patient thats a family member why is the new manager nurse and her boyfriend who is the maintenance man working together at the douglasville timber ridge location patients in there allergic to certain tape and they have to buy their own product why should they when what they use is in the faucility she complains about it, it's been days no tylonol and the ladt time she send to chapel clinic and got a small opened container that was already in use the bottle that holds 24 it's 17-18 patients on each shift and it's 2 shift.

She lack communication etiquette it's enough that people dealing with dialysis but to deal with someone who doesn't care and another thing some patients very few hass the electric blanket she told the staff to tell them they can't use them it be cold espeacially when you on the machine i'm a little on the haevy side so i can imagine those skinny and older patients what you guys gonna let these people freeze to death or get puemonia, and she lied make some story up about the blanket will overload the the curcuits abd blow the fuse but some people use oxygen machines that's plugged in and those not blowing a fusr how a light weight blanket gonna do that.

Since she been there it's a mess they running out of stuff no replacement why because of this bonus she talking about this location about to get a law suit because we patient we communicate with each other and people talk some folks say they gonna call fox 5. Fresinus and manager kc only care about the money plain and simple

High Turnover, Lackluster Management, Drama-Rama Patients with Bad Attitudes

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Original review Nov 18, 2022

My relative is what I would term a "missing link in the rusted chain" type of patient. The patient has been been infiltrated, given the wrong dosage of medication, had her fistula tied by an "EXPERT" Charge nurse, been placed on a broken machine, and had too much fluid taken off which resulted in 3 overnight emergency room stays.

The staff has a segregated mentality when it comes to selecting the patients they want: If they don't like you because of your race/language preferences, they will not take care of you.

One technician for the last two years has taken care of the same 4 patients on the 1st shift and only takes care of other patients if "THERE IS A SHORTAGE OF STAFF". The techs have their personal favorite patients: They'll talk *** about each other and then share that information with the patients to create a personal bond, which is against clinic policies. They'll add patients to their Facebook accounts, even if that is also against policy. The turnover of staff is HIGH...2 years at least 20-22 employees have come and gone...without a care.

And don't even try to joke around with the LVNs or RNs at this clinic because even the slightest joke will result in a complaint against the patient. CAN YOU IMAGINE---THE PATIENT/CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT, BUT NOT AT THIS CLINIC...You are devoid of your RIGHTS to say what you want, even if the care was great or down right sh**ty.

The clinical manager is void --- You never see that person EVER. And when you do, it's usually bad news such as a schedule change or the usual "Have you had your shots updated?" *** The secretary is loopy. Nice on the outside, two-faced on the inside.

She'll help only when it's convenient, and 99% of the time, her window is ALWAYS CLOSED. People have to knock on the window loudly to get her attention.

The patients have age ranges from 50s-80s, and they are some of the most immature, impish, selfish, and petty people you will ever meet in your life. I've seen everything from foul language, backstabbing, isolating new patients from conversations, bullying, as well as a couple patients using racist words to describe how they feel about techs and nurses that they don't like. Or if you're the type of person who just wants to rest before you get your treatment, the patients will tell you that you're "ARROGANT, SHOW-OFF AND RUDE" because you don't want to and prefer not to acknowledge their presence...if you're in PAIN you basically don't want to be bothered.

But to them, it's like being back in high school or a bar room---One guy will preach to everyone about how it's great to be alive, then say that anyone who is a caregiver taking care of a dialysis relative is a LOSER for sticking around and waiting on that person day in and day out.

The social worker pretends to care about your feelings, but also has his own favorite patients: If you call someone out about how they acted inappropriately, the social worker will make you feel more like the one who should be on trial then trying to work things out for everyone to communicate better.

Truthfully, the entire staff from top to bottom should be fired and start over again. Or take top workers from other clinics and transfer them to this clinic as a way of CLEANING HOUSE. It's just awful.

It's just a chaotic place of disgruntled employees who don't really care about patients and only care about the paycheck: Bring them in like cattle, sit them down to get the treatments, and throw them out to the lobby like a lopping sack of potatoes ready to get mashed up and thrown out. It's really REALLY sad.

People dont "get infiltrated" but yes infiltration happens to everyone, machines break, things happen. Managers are busy doing 100 other things that you have no idea about.

The techs are entry level worker who you get close to bc they are like you. If you had taken care of yourself you wouldn't be there in the first place so stop whining

Don't be a *** The managers don't do jack *** but eat Sweet-Tarts and talk about what they're gonna do for the weekend. 100 other things to do?

Pffttt. Get real. They delegate things to the techs and LVNs, so shut your mouth and pipe it.

There are techs who come to work high on the job with a hint of alcohol on their breath when Monday comes around. Don't comment and think you know every damn thing, because you don't.
